Overview

This WordPress plugin that will allow you to display an advertisement in a modal box. You can show an image, SWF file, an iFrame or a video from YouTube.

So you’re going to manage the time during which the advertising will continue to display (the duration is automatically obtained if you use a YouTube video), how long after a new advertisement will appear (Cookie), the link clickable area (over advertising).

You can also choose the color, size (unless image because it is automatic), the opacity of the mask that appears over the page …

All these changes can made on the plugin settings page.

Install the plugin

1. Go to the plugin management page and click on the "Add New" button :
   
   
2. Then when you are on this page, just click on the "Upload" link :
   
   
3. Choose the NagAds.zip file and then click "Install Now" button :
   
   

Set a YouTube Video ad

Here is the step to set a YouTube video as an ad

1. Choose "YouTube Video" in the dropdow :

2. And then, fill these settings :

• Link URL : It's the link placed over the YouTube video ;
• YouTube Video ID : It's the ID of the video you want to use as an ad. The ID of the video is the bold part of the URL : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeWBS0JBNzQ ;
• Width : In pixels ;
• Height : In pixels ;

Set a Image ad

Here is the step to set a Image as an ad

1. Choose "Image" in the dropdow :

2. And then, fill these settings :

• Delay : It's the time while you want to show the ad ;
• Image URL : It's the URL of the image you want to use as an ad ;
• Link URL : It's the link placed over the image.

The width and the height are set automatically with the image size.

Set an SWF ad

Here is the step to set a SWF as an ad

1. Choose "Flash Animation (.swf)" in the dropdow :

2. And then, fill these settings :

• Delay : It's the time while you want to show the ad ;
• Link URL : It's the link placed over the SWF ;
• .swf URL : It's the url of your .swf file ;
• Width : In pixels ;
• Height : In pixels.

Set a Frame ad

Here is the step to set a Frame as an ad

1. Choose "Frame" in the dropdow :

2. And then, fill these settings :

• Delay : It's the time while you want to show the ad ;
• Link URL : It's URL showed in the frame ;
• Width : In pixels ;
• Height : In pixels.

Styling the box

Here are the various elements of the box noted on the image below :

To customize the box style, fill these settings :

• Background Color : It's the color of the overlay (background) ;
• Background Image : If you want to use an image as background put the image URL here, else, leave empty ;
• Background Opactity : Choose a value between 0 (transparent) and 1 (opaque) to set the overlay opacity ;
• Background Color of inner area : It's the background color inside the box (ad) ;
• Border Color ;
• Shadow Color ;
• Z-Index : Change this value if you have previously set a z-index value for other wbe page element. Set this value upper of other z-index value ;

All colors must be entered as hex code like that #000000 (black), you can't use the 3 digits hex code only the 6 digits.

Regulate the display of ads

To regulate the display of ads you need to activate the Cookie in the "Cookie Settings" part of NagAds settings page.

Then enter a value in minutes in the text box that has just appeared.

By default this textbox show 5 (minutes).

If you want to show an ad by browser session, type 0.

Global Ad mode

This mode allows you to display a common advertising on all pages of your site, except where is a NagAds shortcode.

To enabled it just click on the "Enable" button before the "Global Ad is disabled".

If you don't have enabled it, no ads are shown on your site, except the page with a NagAds shortcode.

How to show an ad on a specific page or post

To show a specific ad on a page or a post of your choice simply use the shortcode provided by NagAds.

Each advertisement has its ID displayed in the table, get there and replace the "YourID" bt the id in the shortcode below.

[NagAds id=YourID]

For example :

[NagAds id=2]

You can put it anywhere ine the page or post content.

If you have enabled the Global AD mode the shortcode ad replace the global ad showed on the site. But if you don't have enabled the Global Ad mode this ad show only on the page where the shortcode are located.
