Installation

Steps

1. Extract the contents of the archive

2. Login to "your domain"/wp-admin

3. Go to Plugins->Add New

4. On the top under the title "Install Plugins" click on upload

5. Search for the .zip in the folder created at "Step1" under 'plugin' folder, archive called 'woocommerce-nw-adcart.zip'

6. After you have selected the archive click 'Install now' button

7. If the installation process went well you need to go under Plugins->Installed Plugins

8. Find "NW ADCart for WooCommerce" plugin in the list of plugins and click 'Activate'

Quickstart

Before you start customizing the widget you need to place the widget in a widget area of your theme.

Go to Appearence -> Widgets

in a widget area



set the title or delete the text in the title field for no title and Save.



In the backend of your wordpress website on the left you will find a menu link to the configuration panel for NW ADCart widget.

If you choose to use the predefined skins (Light/Dark) no other settings needs to be done, if you want to customize the widget to meet your needs you need to choose from the "Select preferred skin" drop down menu the "Custom" option

After you selected "Custom" options and saved the changes you can set the "Border radius", Colors, and Icon. The colors are easy to change just click on the color picker select the color and save the changes, also the Icon is easy to change, select the type of icon you want to have, click on it and the save the changes.





Customization

The plugin has a configuration panel, you will find a menu on the left side of your wp-admin. The configuration panel has 3 sections Skin, Colors and Icons.

Skin

"Select preferred skin" - at this point there are 2 predefined color schemes "light/dark", if you select "custom" you be able to change the colors and icon of the widget

"Position of the widget in your theme" - if you want your widget to be on the left/right sidebar you will have to change this option to left or right for the layout of the widget to fit your theme.

"Show subtotal" - with this option you can disable or enable the display of the subtotal in the widget.

"Border radius" - here you can change the border radius of the boxes, summary box and also of the drop down box.

"Item name/Item name plural" - to have a more customized display you can also change the name of your products in the summary box(Example: if you sell/rent movies you can have instead of "x items", "x movies").

Colors

"Icon color" - from here you can change the color of the icon.

"Text color" - changes the color of the text from both summary box and drop down.

"Button text color" - from here you can change the text of the buttons.

"Background color" - this setting changes the background color of the summary box and drop down box.

"Border color" - this setting changes the border color of the summary box and drop down box.

Icon

"Icon Style" - at this point there are 10 types of icons, choose the closest one to fit your design.
"Custom icon" - you have the ability to upload your own icon, the plugin adds a new size for the image in Media Manager so it's easy to add your custom design cart icon without resizing to 20x20. Don't forget to check 'Use custom icon' option. "Icon Position" - choose the position of the icon Left or Right

Other

"Select drop down action" - set drop down to be triggered by click or by hover.
"Show cart on" - choose the pages on which the cart will be displayed. By default the cart is displayed on all other pages, outside woocommerce.

Shortcode

You can add the widget anywhere by placing [nwadcart_widget] shortcode in your editor
